Change is good that’s what they say,
And I agree in everyway
But listen to this phenomenon,
About the aches that never seem to be gone
Weeks be by and hair does grow,
Friends are made and age too shows
But when I return all reflects,
That it’s all the same, that same pain in my chest
And it sprang that sunny afternoon
Didn’t foreshadow the coming doom
There is no sign, there is no sign
There is no sign of you leaving soon.
Like the creakin’ chair and unmoved stones,
That need still lingers in my bones
It’s always there silent, the same,
The flutter sense and goosebumps all remain
Please get off my mind
You’ve nothin’ to leave behind
Why can’t you ever fly away?
And though at home nothin’ goes wrong,
You still keep playin’ that same old song
‘Cause near the peak no I’m not me
And out comes this irrationality
And it sprang that sunny afternoon
Didn’t foreshadow the coming doom
There is no sign, there is no sign
There is no sign of you leaving me soon.......
