The Blessings of My Day

I woke up late this morn’, turned my head to see
My old room, sunny skies, same old used to be
Sat me down with the kids around in my usual way
But I don’t mind, in fact I feel fine, it’s the best part of my day.
Got my share of worry
The world’s too much for me
I’m always in a hurry ‘til I stop, and I see.....
Things are not half so bad
Though my mind can go astray
So I count one by one, the blessings of my day.
Wife and kids
And good friends
I got my health
And some free time
I don’t hate my job
I like where I live
‘Though I’m not where I hope to be
So I count one by one
Hear me count one by one
The things that come my way
The blessings of my day.
Over the horizon
There I cannot see
Dark clouds may be risin’ but I’ve hope, and I feel free.....
Hit the bed, turned my head, kissed the wife goodnight
Slept ok, one sweet dream, guess that I got something right
Me I’m just a lucky guy, things have gone my way
So I count, one by one, the blessings of my day
The blessings of my day.
Wife and kids
And good friends
I got my health
And some free time
I don’t hate my job
I like where I live
I love my mom and my family
So I count one by one
Hear me count one by one
I feel fine most all the time
I can go away on a holiday
And late at night I sleep alright
I feel so proud but not in a cloud
So I count one by one
Hear me count one by one
